Recovery in Kathmandu

Kamal, our CEO in Kathmandu, reports on the recent trouble that made headline news:

"We, my family, all staff, and their families are well and safe. We had to close our office for 2 days due to the government imposing curfews. We opened the office again and the situation is slowly getting back to normal.

Most of the political leaders' buildings and other properties have been burned and destroyed. Also, government buildings like Singha Durbar, the President's building, the Supreme Court, the Hilton Hotel, Parliament building, Bhatbhateni supermarkets, schools/colleges, and many more showrooms and buildings have been destroyed and vandalized. This is the first time I have ever seen this sort of destruction in Nepal in my life.

Now, the major political leaders are in the army camps with VVIP security. As of this email, the Chief of Army, the President, and other representatives are working on making a new interim government, and dialogues are still going on.

Please continue to pray for Nepal and for us."
