A Tribute to Ramviraji Rajak
We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Ram Raji Devi Rajak. Her substantial contributions to NLT were instrumental in promoting the positive image of self-help groups. Ram Raji was the first woman to serve as a facilitator for the Mithila Bihari self-help group. She was a dynamic force in her group, tirelessly working towards women’s empowerment, education, employment, and village development. It was her efforts that led to the establishment and popularity of the Village Alive Project, which she enriched through her exceptional work. Under her leadership, the program flourished and became a model of sustainable rural development, inspiring many other communities to adopt similar initiatives. Her legacy continues to resonate, fuelling the drive for social progress and equal opportunity across the countryside and beyond.
